Chatham County is celebrating the 2-year anniversary of its Non-Emergency Call Center (NECC)!
Launched to help direct administrative and non-emergency calls away from the E-911 Center, the NECC has played a key role in ensuring that 911 calltakers are available to respond to critical emergencies more quickly.
Two years in, the results continue to show the impact of this initiative. The 911 Center has experienced a reduction in administrative calls and a decrease in the overall abandoned call rate. Additionally, call answer times have improved, helping provide faster service when it matters most.
For non-emergency concerns, residents are encouraged to contact the NECC by dialing 912-652-6500 and selecting Option 1.
