The Chatham County Department of Engineering will hold an open house concerning improvements to Chevis Road from Wild Heron Road to US 17 / SR 25 at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens. The Open House will be conducted on May 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend anytime during these hours.

DETAILS: The purpose of this open house is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the proposed project, and ask questions of the design team including Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), Chatham County, and design consultants. This informal open house will offer exhibits to highlight aspects of this project. The public will have an opportunity to comment and express their needs and concerns. 

This is a SPLOST referendum project with combined Federal Funding to improve traffic operations and safety. The proposed project will include two roundabouts, multi-use path, sidewalk and drainage improvements.
