Chatham County Government was proud to join residents, local leaders, non-profit organizations, and all of our beloved community for this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade. The event was more than a celebration. It served as a powerful reminder of the unity, service, and shared responsibility that Dr. King championed throughout his life.
For Chatham County, MLK Day is not only a moment to reflect on history, but also an opportunity to recommit ourselves to service. Dr. King reminded us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.” That principle guides our work every day as we strive to build a county where opportunity, dignity, and fairness are accessible to all.
